Team W2R out in Force at Snetterton & Pushing For Further Success

Posted on Tue 2nd Aug, 2016 in: General NewsTeam News

Both Ginetta GRDC and GRDC+ classes are out this weekend at Snetterton circuit, Norfolk, for rounds 3 and 5 respectively for each Championship. With no less than seven Team W2R drivers out the team are eager to build on previous success at Spa and Silverstone, with leading drivers in both classes.

In GRDC, its competition winner Phil Ingram who is unbeaten in this year's season, with team-mate Jack Oliphant closest rival as the pair are sure to exchange places on track once again around the fast and furious airfield base 300 circuit. Joining them is Keith Gibson, a total novice driver, who hasa impressed team Boss Ben Hyland greatly this season so far with his relaxed attitude and improved confidence and pace each time he goes out on track (horns a blazing).

GRDC+ sees 2013 want2race competition winner and 2015 GRDC+ Champion Rob Keogh in as a guest drive to replace David Bengis who unfortunately sits out due to family commitments. Keogh will be one to watch at the front, with him and Adrian Campbell-Smith pushing together for some great results over the weekend as the team continue the charge on this year's Championship.

Back is Paul Oliphant who had to sit out Spa as son Tom was racing Porsche Supercup at Silverstone that weekend. Paul drives his new White GRDC+ car with some newly found pace so is one to look out for. Sixth place Championship man Mike Jarvis is fresh from some Snetterton testing and is looking to push for more strong race pace, results and maximum concentration.

Supporters are welcome down to watch the team on Sunday 7th August and please come and say hello in the want2race awning, grab a coffee and a chat with our team drivers.
